Basics

What’s a group request?

Group buying is basically bulk buying with a group of people online. The goal of bulk buying is to get volume discounts by agreeing to buy a certain number of units. Localfront makes it easy for people to come together to form a group and get stuff cheaper and locally. Interested businesses can propose offers to the group at any time, and as the popularity of a group starts to get high, the Localfront team will actively negotiate with local businesses to supply offers to the group. If the closing date is reached, the group buy will automatically close.

What’s a Proposal?

Sometimes a group member may have a preferred vendor he or she would like the group to buy from. In this case, the group member can suggest a group buy. The user can propose to meet up at a specific location, or propose to make the purchase on behalf of the members for example.
